Systems Modernization & Technical Ownership

Replaced the core workflow-processing engine of a regulatory-reporting platform at BNP Paribas, building on earlier experience as the sole developer who migrated a large portfolio application from AngularJS to Angular.

Performance Engineering

Profiled and rebuilt a properties panel's rendering path at BNP Paribas, improving performance by over 400% through targeted browser-level profiling.

Frontend Architecture at Scale

Built reusable Angular library components adopted across 15+ white-labelled client deployments at Quantifeed.

Algorithms & Data Processing in Production

Implemented a depth-first search traversal for workflow/graph processing to speed up execution, and rebuilt a JSON-in-XML sanitization pipeline that cut parsing errors to effectively zero.

Backend Systems for Financial Institutions

Built trading and asset-management APIs for Investec's investment platform, and later delivered a direct-debit authorization integration spanning 3-4 partner institutions for a mobile banking client.

    Led the frontend of an internal platform used by 50-100 staff across 10+ APAC regions to build and run regulatory financial reports. The centerpiece was a BPMN workflow designer, which I inherited in a fragile state: frequent crashes, slow rendering, and an execution engine with no concurrency. I rebuilt the engine around a concurrency-limited request bus, cut the properties panel’s load time from 4-6 seconds to milliseconds, and replaced a recurring JSON-parsing bug with a redesigned pipeline, while mentoring a team of 2-3 engineers and bringing in typed, tested, and documented code.
